The things you need for a wedding...

There are many lists that have been made about what you should be doing and when for wedding things, its crazy, i'm genuinely in awe about how many people compile these lists and make sure brides like me don't forget things like you know guests and rings!
According to the ultimate list i'm both way ahead of the curve and hideously behind!

According to the lists i should have (By now... 7/8 months before):
1. Start a wedding folder or binder... Well I have a blog and a note book does that count?
2. Work out a budget ... Fair I mean its not like i have billions to spend on the wedding, i always really had a set idea on what i was spending though, myself and Reb have been blessed with friends and family who are amazing at helping out.
3. Pick your wedding party and make a guest list ...  I mean i knew who i wanted by my side since me and Reb went through things and i know he had strong opinions on his wedding party too, with regards to guests we very much like the same peoples and also families like Reb's are big so we had to make sure, i mean its pretty standard to want invite your friends and family.
4. Hire a planner - No
5. Book a venue - Yep
6. Reserve a date and all that - well i figured that pretty much should be the first things we should do as you cant invite people or book things without a date!!
7. Hire photographers and wedding entertainment... We are blessed with talented friends who want to take our picture, and also spotify is our homeslice. We don't need much, though a band idea did get banded about but you have to remember the bands that we really want would be too weird for a lot of people. This way everyone can enjoy the things that they want
8. Buy a dress ... Well to be honest i got the dress for 15 quid and im happy with it, my nails and underskirts and shoes and also socks are brought i'm kitted out!
9. Invites...  every expense was spared. But they are pretty boss! Everyone got the invites and their tickets, as a note if you got yours and you got one ticket, yes it says admit one, but really it means as many people as you are bringing, its more to show people where the event is. This should also cover the save the date things I think. I never understand that people send two things out, if the invite says the date, then that surely is your save the date!

10. Honeymoon ... None is booked, me and reb have not even bothered, so that is something.
11. Talk to caterers ... We actually have this and have been in contact with people, getting numbers and all.  That may be one of the only things we are on track for.
12. Bridesmaids dresses - two of mine are men and will be in suits, the other one is a woman and will wear her own dress, in fact wear her wedding dress as she wants to, and i quote "I want to be the kind of bitch that wears a wedding dress to some one else's wedding".
13. Book a florist - Nope, my burnt glue gun fingers mean that i have committed to the fact that paper flowers are happening
14. Transport - Hmm i mean we have very much decided that taxis and walking will be fine, but im sure that cars will happen at some point

There are also things like the decoration and some of the favours we have figured out, including our guestbook and wedding postbox, but lets face it why have a post box when you can have a mimic.

We are now at the point where we are having the conversation. "The wedding is 8 months away that's AGES, mind you its 8 months away that's not a long time at all", mostly though we are at a point where we are just paying money off every month...
Oh well i have the spotify play list to keep me busy until my next thing!
I love you all
Amy
